Abstract: | According to Emile Durkheim “Religion seemed to be a sacred thing and system of beliefs and practices uniting the entire moral community as the origin for the same seemed to be immortal and not the recent one. The belief in the growth of religion relating the fear of death and after life of death seemed to be a topic of inquisitiveness for anthropologiosts.1 Religion is the universal system and the basic institution which is found in every part of the society as it is the social system with common faith, rituals, customs, traditions and rituals. The concept of morality has bided the religious customs and traditions with time. As the principles for awarding maintenance are now made as rule in Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. |
