Abstract: I Aishwarya Borgaonkar have completed her internship with Indore based media company, WittyFeed. My internship at WittyFeed revolved around its product STAGE. The main objective was to experiencing the new age digital technologies and its impact on the audiences. The media and entertainment industry has shifted to the digital world and this internship opened me to a great depth into the two worlds – OTT app and social media, and how it can reach millions. The attention span of viewers is decreasing. Thus, it made me understand the importance of ‘content’ in the marketing world. The content drives and differentiates in this social media world and holds a lot of power. STAGE’s mix of technological advancements, consumer-centric practices, personalized content, and progressive mindset have become the reason of its growth. It also focuses on understanding the parameters that drive OTT Applications globally. The purpose of the project was to give actionable approach by deeply analysing the insights of the social media as well as countering current competition. Working here gave me a brief overview of how company performs to maintain brand image and resonate customer interests. There are several concepts and tools that are used in this contemporary that helped me understand how to work efficiently. The project required skills of dealing with different types of social media and artists. Although it was a remote internship, the digital era remains unaffected by brick and mortar offices, I witnessed several learnings from the internship. The main skill I imbibed during the internship is to be observative about the customer demands. Additionally, the customer feedback, and in the language of social media- the ‘insights’ play a vital role in changing strategies. My creative and analytical thinking helped the organization to execute new strategies on their social media handles that gave them an immense instant boost of audiences. Also, my findings from the brand awareness perspectives helped the organization design new advertising ideas to promote their OTT application in new unexplored formats. I have learned that one must adapt to changes and have dynamic strategies to win the internet or else, there is fierce competition to take over. Working with a team that imbibes the right spirit and enthusiasm can lead to the desired goals.
