Resveratrol is a stilbenoid, a type of natural phenol, having very low oral bioavailability, because of lower water solubility and lipophilic nature, and besides, it shows fast metabolism. It has a wide range of applications to treat CNS disorder, but its above disadvantage limits its efficacious use. So, an alternative approach is required to attain therapeutic drug concentration at CNS. The microemulsion is a promising and emerging drug delivery system which, targets CNS. Further, the microemulsion was formulated for intranasal drug delivery which ultimately enables dose reduction, rapid attainment of therapeutic blood levels, quicker onset of pharmacological activity with fewer side effects. Initially, the study involves the formulation of nasal microemulsion with the aid of the phase titration method. The buildup was subjected to numerous in-vitro characterization like particle size, drug content, diffusion study, SEM, osmolality, spray content, and plume geometry so, as to evaluate various physiochemical information. Hence, the outcomes of the parameters clearly, revealed the stability and suitability of nasal microemulsion for the treatment of various CNS disorders.en_US
