Abstract: This study focuses on the development of concrete mixture design using the android application as per Indian Standard IS 10262:2019. Concrete mixture design is a very essential parameter for the construction of any reinforced concrete structure. Recently IS 10262:2019 has come up with major changes in concrete mixture design. IS 10262:2019 has added the mixture design of different types of concrete such as ordinary concrete (M30 to M60), self-compacted concrete, high strength concrete (M60 to M100), and mass concrete. Currently, on the Google play store, such an application is not available which covers all types of concrete mixture design according to IS 10262:2019. Concrete mix design Android has been developed for all types of concrete using all the provisions mentioned in IS 10262:2019. This concrete mixture design android application covers the mixture design of ordinary concrete, self-compacted concrete, high strength concrete, and mass concrete. For the development of concrete mixture design, the android studio was used for the android application. This concrete mix design application also provides detailed guidelines specified in IS 10262:2019 regarding mixing proportions. For the validation of the android application result for concrete mixture design, experimental work was carried out. Compressive strength result at 7 days and 28 days was measured and compared with a target mean strength for different types of concrete. A slump test was carried out to check the workability of different types of concrete. From the compressive strength result, it can be concluded that the concrete mixture proportioning result obtained from the android application will be useful for field applications. This android application has great benefits to the students, academicians, and practicing engineers who are working on concrete mixture design. Based on observation, it should show that the research on high strength concrete in India as per IS 10262:2019 is comparatively low. So, fulfill this research gap mixture design of high strength concrete of grade M70, M80, and M90 is developed in the laboratory. Also, in an android application, the mixture design for high strength concrete of grades M70, M80, and M90 with lower w/c ratio and cement content of 450 kg/m3 is developed, and various trials are conducted to achieve a good compressive strength at 7 days in the laboratory. Compressive strength of concrete for grades M70 and M80 was achieved at 7 days of testing. However, mechanical properties of concrete such as compressive strength, flexure strength, and modulus of elasticity are not achieved at 28 days. The target compressive strength at 7 days is not fulfilled in the case of the M90 grade of concrete, which has higher workability and a cement content of 450 kg/m3. The use of cement content is limited to 450 kg/m3 according to IS 10262:2019. To achieve the target mean strength of a high grade of concrete, the cement content must be greater than 450 kg/m3. The developed Android application has a limitation in that it only shows the calculation for maximum cement content up to 450 kg/m3. In addition, high strength concrete of grade M90 with a cement content of 534 kg/m3 was used. The mixture design is calculated in an excel sheet, but the target compressive strength at 28 days is not achieved.
