Abstract: | Intel's DTT (Dynamic Tuning Technology) is, Intel's smart approach for handling throttling according to the TDP limits of the device contingent on thermal sensors and power monitoring for tables and PC's. This is a solution targets to enable thin, quiet, and cool platform designs. Intel DTT hosts several platform level power and thermal management technologies that support this idea. Intel DTT provides channels for platform components and devices to be revealed to individual technologies in a compatible and modular format thus enabling a coordinated control of the platform to achieve the power and thermal management goals. DTT provides various control knobs for tuning and determining the right parameter values for these knobs are always challenging and time consuming. The solution to this is Platform(client) tuning for Thermal optimization and Performance enhancements. It is a client-server-based architecture that helps in tuning the control knobs aiding to optimal power and performance for the user. |
