dc.description.abstract | Intel is entering into discrete Graphics card market. PC Gaming with DirectX11 is one of the major segment of discrete Graphics market. This project proposes to build a tool to profile the Graphics and system memory utilization of UMD (User mode driver) when running DX11 Games/Apps. Tool will use Microsoft ETW framework to log instrumented UMD messages and visually represent the data. As a next phase proposed tool will have simulator interface capabilities to debug the Memory Management algorithms of UMD. Hence, it uses ETL files to keep a track of resource creation, destruction, size calculation and allocation. Here at Intel, Intel Providers and Graphics manifest files are generated based on events that needs to be logged. | en_US |
