dc.description.abstract | As the complexity nature of Semiconductor designs increments, so does the expense of testing Semiconductor products. Semiconductor testing must be practical to address the difficulties of technological progression. As the requirements of the design increases according to the customer’s specification the complexity of design also increases. To make the architecture bug free, efficient, and reliable tools must be designed for verification. High level verification tools are required to verify each aspect of the design. Smoke testing is one of the testing procedures used for regression testing of end design before going to manufactures. Smoke testing does the various and numerous unpredictable variable environments and do the testing. Wrapper Script are used for many tools. This script is made for the easy usage to the user. User does not have to remember large and complex command for getting job done instead wrapper script make their task easier. Likewise, tools are major part of any verification and testing process. Tool’s development team also must make their tool support more efficient and more error free, so that users do not find any issues while doing testing. So, tools testing is also equally important. For tools testing different methods are use like unit testing module in Python. Automation is also becoming the next major thing in the industry. Everything should be automated nowadays. So, writing a good script for automation is also becoming a big thing in the industry. The script should be able to automate most of the desire output and it should be well written. Also with automation, the pre-existing process should also be needed to improve with the period. The process should be optimized, and it should be able to work more effectively using less processing power. | en_US |
