Secure Unit Diagnostics With Cloud Integration

Abstract

There is no reliable tool available which can help us to troubleshoot the issues reported from the field deployed set-top box remotely. As of now the only service available for the set-top box which are in remote is software upgrade. Therefore, this project comprises of Cloud Diagnostic Tool which aims to troubleshoot the issues reported from the deployed set-top box. It is able to perform the diagnosis to the deployed set-top box remotely. The set-top box has an pre-installed app with the system access which will communicate with the web browser and perform the tasks based on the configuration rules which are published by the web browser. It collects the logs which are required for the troubleshooting. It also checks the set-top box periodically which fetches the data like memory usage, CPU usage and network logs. The implementation of the project is divided into four steps: MQTT Connection, Device Discovery, Send Configuration and collect logs, Dashboards. The tools and technologies will be used for this project are MQTT, Elasticsearch, Angular, Android
