dc.description.abstract | SAP SE is a German multinational software corporation based in Walldorf that develops enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations. PHILIPS uses SAP for its ERP needs and for various data Insights and analytical programs. Effectively managing the cost of organization remains one of the top priorities of PHILIPS. This is currently achieved using the product “SAP BPC” (Business Planning & Consolidation). This project helps PHILPS drive their cost planning right from the most granular level (employee) to the detailed cost center level planning. FTE as the name suggest “Full Time Equivalent” drives the cost planning and help PHILIPS plan and cost the track at the level of employee, its job grade, job family, functional/business areas, and cost center. Data for the FTE planning is received manually from WORKDAY software and interfaced to FTE planning and serves as the basis for FTE planning. This FTE planning is initially done for the employee base salaries and wages. The budget/plan data at FTE level is then then aggregated at the cost center level and pushed to a more detailed Cost Center planning (CCP) model where other affecting factors (travel, expenses, incentives, bonus etc.) are planned at the cost center level. Currently there are gaps in the current system of Cost Center Planning (CCP) tool at Philips. So, this new project is under PHILIPS 2021 roadmap that is envisioned to enhance the Philips ability for effective management of Cost of Organization. | en_US |
