Abstract

Summer internship is one of the best opportunities through which someone can get the exact corporate exposure. Especially for a fresher like me, who has no idea regarding the corporate life gets to experience and rather live the corporate life through summer internship. And working with Peacock Solar has given me a chance to experience such exposure. But as we know, the current pandemic has bought all the companies to home, same was the case with my summer internship with Peacock Solar as well. Even, I was supposed to be working from home. And through this I got to know and learn a lot regarding the working culture that irrespective of the place of work, the work remains the same and so is the work load. So, even being at home you have to give 100% to your work so that the quality of the work and output is maintained. Going through the summer internship after the 1st year of MBA gives us a chance to apply the concepts that we have learnt in the real case scenarios. As we have been listening that the communication plays a very important role in part of your life, same I got to experience and implement in my summer internship as my role in the internship more or less was the same. Actually, I worked with Blitz Jobs which is a sister company of Peacock Solar. And my role was to make calls to the clients and bring business. So, thus just by reading the role we can understand how the communication would help in this internship. Apart from the polish and sound communication I also learnt to have and keep continuous presence of mind over the call, because each and every call that I make was not similar. My convincing skills were put to test over each and every call. Thus, the summer internship that I got the opportunity to do with Blitz Jobs actually taught me a lot.
