Abstract: This report consists of the work carried out by me as a part of Summer Internship at TATA AIG General insurance company. The project assigned was Business Process Re-engineering of PSU banks. Basically, I had to identify the challenges faced by the different departments especially the sales team and relationship managers that leads to delay in inwarding and hence the overall policy issuance gets delayed. Firstly, the DATA of various zones was analysed to find out where maximum delay occurs. Then I interacted with the zonal managers, regional managers and relationship managers of top 5 zones where maximum delay occurs to find out the challenges faced by them. The were divided into category: Sourcing issues, general issues and software issues. The challenges were analysed and I proposed solution to each and every challenge. The solutions were verified by my guide and then presented to country head. The challenges and solutions of the same are forwarded to responsible departments for implementation.
