Equity Markets Analysis

Abstract

The purpose of the summer internship program was to gain corporate experience in the field of equity research. With the onset of Capital Markets on a Bull Run since the lockdown which was imposed in the country last year, this sector of the Banking and Financial Services Industry has gained rapid momentum. As a student of Finance, I had been interested in how the capital markets worked and how to manage the investments and funds of companies. This project helped me understand the two Primary Analysis, which is the Fundamental and Technical Analysis of the Equity Research and helped me understand the workings of the Capital Markets. The Summer internship project helped me to understand the workings of the Fund management and Asset Management Companies and brokerage houses, as to what are the services they render and how they can manage the investments of the clients. During the course of the internship, I have closely observed the Capital Markets using the different tools and indicators for analyzing the stocks of different companies, which has helped me gain confidence in the field of Investments and Portfolio Management and Equity Research Analysis. The report covers the information on the Summer internship Training as an Equity Research Analyst whereby I was responsible for working closely on the Analysis part. I am indebted to the course learnings from the Institute of Management, Nirma University which has helped me understand the concepts of the Financial Markets in greater sense. Specifically, with the help of the Corporate Finance Subjects which were helpful in testing the fundamentals of the companies. The knowledge gained during the Internship will help me pursue a career in the BFSI Sector and as Investments are a crucial part of any company and any individual. The Report is covered in three parts as per the prescribed format, i.e., Profile of the Organization, Project Work, and the Learnings from the Internship.
