Abstract: The project aims to analyze the growth of digital payments in India as well as the factors contributing to it. The scope of the project also aims to cover the preferred mode of money transfer for various users from individual to retail. It shall also cover the change in use of various payment digital methods like NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and UPI and their distinction. The study is based on the background of rise in digitization of the banking industry as well as the increase in Fintech companies in the country. It aims to assess the opportunities and challenges that exist currently or could be faced by organizations facilitating digital payments as well as their clients in the future.
