Abstract: For my Summer Internship I am placed with Ernst & Young, Ahmedabad. EY is one of the largest professional services networks in the world. Along with Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, it is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms. It primarily provides assurance, tax, consulting and advisory services to its clients. Like many of the larger accounting firms in recent years, EY has expanded into markets adjacent to accounting, including strategy, operations, HR, technology, and financial services consulting. My summer project is an experiential learning process for me as I am placed with the talent acquisition team. I perform the routine tasks under the HRBP of the organisation. I was involved in multiple hiring drives including Chartered Accountants, HR Generalist and Article Assistants for the organisation. I observed that for every position the candidates have to go through at least three rounds of screening/interviews. The company evaluates the employee on multiple aspects of communication skills, aptitude knowledge and technical knowledge of the domain. Further details of the project are described in the next part of the report.
