Bluetooth and WiFi are the trending technologies in the fast-moving competitive world. Almost every human being, is using these technologies for their day-to-day tasks. Now since their usage is so vast, their performance and functionality testing become a key part. NXP semiconductors are making their own SOCs having the support of both these technologies. The job role of an SQA in NXP semiconductors is to validate the Bluetooth and Wifi profiles. Since both these technologies are working on the same 2.4 GHz band, interference may affect the performance of either or both technologies. So firstly, testing of both technologies is done in isolated environments from each other and then COEX testing .i.e the coexistence of both technologies is taken care of. For debugging the test cases, different instruments are available in industries, with Vanguard being the most prominent one as it can take over the air (OTA) logs of both these technologies. Shielded environments are also built for efficient testing. Apart from manual testing, automation testing is also done. It saves a huge amount of time in comparison to manual testing. Though it becomes hard, sometime, to debug any issue using automation. Hence the importance of a manual SQA engineer is required for the validation of Bluetooth and WiFi profiles.en_US
