Abstract: We are belonging from the era where we are connected with machines or electronic devices in one or another way. Technology is changing day by day and with that performance and efficiency of computers is increasing at unbelievable rate. Microcontroller has taken over all day-to-day activities of human life. Additionally, almost all the computers and laptops use the Embedded controller (EC) for the specific functions and managements. In this project, we use entirely new architecture-based microcontroller. This will use the future Intel motherboard. It will play Significant role in the future aspects. Customers will have different options for EC firmware on the platform. Further, it is essential to have scalable platform enablement solution. This new EC enablement allow to remove dependency on signal EC vendor. Additionally, it will enable other opportunity, new architecture gives completely new path for validation and development. It will give a chance to explore other aspects. This project involves the detail discussion of intel EC FW and zephyr RTOS. While porting the whole EC FW to new architecture-based microcontroller, we have closely worked on all the EC drivers, how it is used in platform and zephyr RTOS features. We have also opened bug related to EC driver on GitHub as a part of this project. We have explained detail observation about the driver’s validation, bug and results. Our focus is to validate EC drivers on MECC+ADL P platform and EVB. It is passed all the phase now focus on to port the application code.
