Abstract: | This project concentrates on the design and analysis of nickel tank in electroplating industry for manufacturing of textile printing screen on clothes. Design printing on the clothes is very common and there are many industries which manufacture textile printing machine. Krossmark Innovations (Embee Screen) manufacture textile screens for printing design on the clothes Screens are made up of nickel metal by electroplating process, when the current is passed through the rectifier it acts as a cathode and anode by connecting through busbar with shaft and titanium basket. With the help of nickel sulphate and passing current through the chemical and shaft the nickel metal gets deposited on the shaft this deposited layer is further remove out and further electroplating process is repeated and this thin layer which is known as a screen in textile industry is further being processed and engraving is done on it for the designing and then they are ready to print design on the clothes. This project involves designing the structure of nickel tank, it’s material selection and after the assembly performing load analysis on it. For the storage of chemical and the carry titanium baskets poly propylene carbonate tank is design. Deformation analysis is done on the ppc tank because it has to carry load of both the titanium basket with nickel metal and chemical stored in it. Different material selection and their properties its advantages for the process has been made in this project To carry out electroplating process titanium basket is design which stores nickel metal, this basket are designed circular of different diameter and slant according to parameter required to manufacture screen and particular distance has been maintained between shaft and titanium basket for proper electroplating process and for the cylindrical screen, shaft has been designed according to different diameter of screen required, this shaft contains seamless pipe, drive shaft and motor gear box for the rotation. Shaft holder is made to carry the shaft and to pass a current in it. And to flow the current in the titanium basket and shaft copper busbar are made. After the design complete assembly is made which include all the part like Structure, PPC basket, Shaft, Shaft holder, Motor gear box stand, M.s for recirculation, Busbar and Frp coating has been done on the structure for the corrosion resistance. |
