Abstract: Optimal Integration of Distributed Generation [OIDG] in distribution system plays very important role for the optimal sizing and location of DG in the network of distribution. There are different purposes to use OIDG such as loss minimization, etc. Energy resources are use in DG like a renewable and non-renewable. Renewable energy resources [RERs] are gaining worldwide attention to reduce the negative effects of climate change and the increased greenhouse effects from carbon emissions. The DG integration including solar PV, hydro, wind requires optimal power flow management for effective performance of grid network. Wind and solar energy power regardless of wind speed and irradiance or temperature variation respectively. Trends in DG technology, as well as an increasing concern for environmentally friendly energy sources, want a comprehensive review of the distribution network with DG sources. From the different advantages numerous publications have been published in this field. The main objective of OIDG in distribution network is to provides effective optimization of DG unit. Over the past so many years different researchers have been studied about DG optimization and OIDG problem solution in distribution system. The OIDG problem solution is carried out with load flow studies and OIDG techniques in MATLAB simulation.
