Maintaining process variables such as temperature, pressure, level, flow, and pH within a desired operating range is of the utmost important when manufacturing products with a certain composition and quality. Out of them Temperature is the foremost common parameter for different types of process loops. Controlling of temperature loops are generally more difficult. Automated process controller has many advantages over manual control at many extents in today’s industrial processes. In this project, the main aim is to design and implementation of auto tuner for temperature control system. In the initial phase of project, basic study of system carried out using ON-OFF controller and then PID controller is implemented using embedded system. In PID controller different mode like P , PI and PID mode has been tested and tuned using different tuning rules. For auto-tuning, system step and relay feedback test will be performed and based on that system is tuned automatically. For real time monitoring purpose graphical user interface is designed in MATLAB/LabVIEW/SCILAB.en_US
