Angle measurement technique for Radial gates position, it involves various interdis- ciplinary areas of control and automation like embedded system, signal processing and communication. The angle measurement has been done through an angle mea- surement sensor, which will process by a microcontroller and the result is acquired. The result is also transmitted on mobile network via GSM MODEM. This facility is required so that a person who is at distant location from Dam site can also get the data related to radial gate. In this research project, a Visual Basic GUI is developed for the display or online measurement. A measurement and detection system to detect tilt angle signal and vibration signal using angle measurement sensor which has sensed axes X, Y and Z successfully developed. Several issues are considered while developing the measure- ment system such as sensor speci cations, software used for programming, device for interfacing and the exibility of the software used. A measurement and detection system using sensor to detect tilt angle signal is successfully developed for the radial gates position.en_US
