Abstract: Control systems play an important role in modern processing industries. In the chemical process industries, many challenging control problems arise, due to nonlinear dynamic behaviour, uncertainty time varying parameters, constraints on the manipulated variable, interaction between the manipulated and controlled variable, dead time, and unmeasured disturbance with multivariables. Conical tank is more useful in easy drain out and other important applications. Quadruple Tank system have interactions and coupled behaviour, however the control of Quadruple tank system is a challenge for industrial engineer. The Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) Controllers have been widely used in the process industries for many years, due to their simplicity, flexibility and efficiency. The control of a conical tank is a challenging problem, due to its nonlinearity and constant changes in the cross sectional area. The proposed project is to investigate various control algorithm for nonlinear MIMO process in Modified Quadruple Conical Tank System alongwith with simulation study.
