Abstract: Indian Test Facility (INTF) is a test facility to generate a Diagnostic Neutral Beam (DNB) in India. DNB is an ITER deliverable which plays an important responsibility in ITER operation. INTF is a complex system which is generating high power neutral beam. DACS is required to for supervision and control of the system. The architecture of DACS for INTF is already decided on the lines if ITER guidelines. To ensure mature DACS for INTF it is important that a prototype to be developed and tested to fulfil all the control and acquisition requirements of INTF system. Hence the slow control part of DACS of INTF is to be designed and developed. The slow control system is based on PLC. The control system software will be based on CODAC which is based on EPICS. The slow control system has to be set up where both components Control and data acquisition will communicate with each other. For acquisition purpose, LabVIEW is also used as another alternate which is to be interfaced with CODAC.
