dc.description.abstract | A radar altimeter is an altitude measuring instrument for a number of aero- nautical and defence related applications. A smart DSP system on chip allows for a complete system control and brings in the exibility to take appropriate course of action according to the requirement of the radar al- timeter. To study and analyse the signals received by the system, it has to be processed well by using DSP algorithm to extract useful information which in turn is used to obtain accurate height measurements. FPGAs that offer DSP processors have taken over the role of controlling and configuring the radar altimeter system. The yearlong project is to construct an opti- mized and accurate system by developing DSP algorithm with respect to radar altimeters. | en_US |
