dc.description.abstractDigital filter are widely used in the world of communication and computation. The frequency response of the digital filter depends on the value of coefficient word length. The effect of coefficient word length on frequency response has been studied. A program has been developed for optimizing the filter Coefficients depends on the desired frequency response. The effect of filter coefficient quantization on the filter is simulated using MATLAB. The effect of coefficient word length implemented on digital signal processing (DSP) kit and correlated with the simulation results.en_US
