Graphics are the interface between operator & the plant. Graphic screens indicate equipment status and process conditions. The graphic screen display consists of various types of displays such as process graphic displays, electrical one-line diagrams, comprising of plant and process equipment symbols, bar charts, trend graphs and characters. On the graphic screens Process variables can be displayed in characters or by bar chart, and equipment status in color code or flickering symbols. In this project detailed HMI guide for major power plant packages controlled from DCS/PLC will be prepared in Microsoft Visio tool which shall be followed by DCS/PLC suppliers for designing graphics. Another part of this project is to make mathematical model for steam condenser. In which the model of steam condenser will be prepared in Matlab using Simulink. This model will be useful to derive open loop responses of condenser output variables in different conditions. The model will also derive closed loop responses with help of PID controller in which three different types of tuning methods will be used. This model will be also useful to check an efficiency of steam condenser .en_US
