The application and use of a SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system for monitoring, performance analysis, effective control and data logging is gaining popularity and useful in the process and manufacturing industries. LabVIEW package with its GUI based programming capability is an effective and efficient tool to develop a SCADA system. In this project, LabVIEW based SCADA system is used for monitoring and accessing the performance of remotely situated devices by acquiring and controlling the physical parameters such as temperature, pressure and level on a real time basis. Data is acquired with the help of modbus protocol. Various features like database, data logging, secured login, waveform graphs/trends, history and multi-user functionality are also incorporated. The usefulness of such a SCADA system is enhanced by development of mobile application by which communication with remotely situated computer and other such device making it user convenient and resourceful. The developed SCADA system will be an independent and indigenous tool since LabVIEW supports the generation of executable file which can practically run on any computer without having to install the relatively expensive LabVIEW package.en_US
