Abstract: The task of camera calibration is basically used to estimate the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of a camera model. Though there are some restricted techniques for reconstruction by using information about the scene from un-calibrated cameras, e_ective camera calibration procedures is must to ensure the correct geometry of object in 3-D world. The applications of camera calibration include vision-based metrology, robust visual inspection and 3-D reconstruction of object. 3-D wheel alignment system used in automobile industries where the car tyre alignment is measure by arrangement of computer vision based system. Traditional technique is based on sensor type alignment method which is costly and ephemeral solution. In this project we will explore Computer vision Based approach to develop a wheel alignment system. Here the camera is used for measurements of the wheel alignment. Although, we currently discuss only single wheel, our implementation can be easily extended to multiple wheel alignment system.
