Abstract: This project demonstrates design of Multirate Output feedback(MROF) based Dis- crete - time Sliding Mode Controller(DSMC) for sensorless control of Induction Motor(IM) and implemented using System Generator. The theory of the project hinges on the interesting results of Vector control of Induction motor principles and Discrete Sliding Mode Control. Also, the project utilises the results of Multirate out- put feedback approach for state estimation of Induction motor. Both estimator and the controller are implemented on Xilinx xc5vlx110t-1 1136 FPGA. The efficacy of the scheme is shown in the result.
