Abstract: CT scan is most commonly used device in the field of medical. With the help of it one can see inside of an object without cutting. To detect the x-ray there is a CT detector. Operational range of CT detector is very small. So temperature of CT detector should be maintained. CT detector should not be prevented only from overheating but also from over cooling. Thermal management of CT detector is very crucial. Conventional methods like use of fans, heat sinks etc. do not work efficiently as they try only to cool the detector. Therefore temperature variation still exists. This project helps in overcoming this problem. In this a control scheme will be designed that not only prevent the detector from overheating but also from over cooling. In this a combination of heat exchanger and heater will be used. Objective of this to design a control scheme so the temperature of detector can be maintained at desired set point.
