Abstract: The concept of fractional calculus has tremendous potential to change the way we model and control the world around us. With rapid development of computer technology and better understanding of the potential of fractional calculus, the realization of fractional order control system became much easier and fractional calculus is becoming more and more useful in the field of science and engineering area. In order to improve the performance of servo motor in position control to design fractional order PID controller. In this project data acquisition of open loop system of servo motor is done by Arduino Uno board for the system identification and simulation study. Then compare output response of PID and FOPID controller. Design and implementation of Fractional order control algorithm on different embedded platform like Cypress, Arduino/Leonardo and do comparative study of performance of FOPID controller.
