Abstract: | The heat exchangers are very widely used process unit across industry and its performance plays an important role in accomplishing energy optimization in industrial operations. In this Report, it is proposed to develop supervisory control and data acquisition for some specific heat exchanger type(Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger). The objective of this project is to show how we can built a data acquisition system "which can monitor, control and analyse the Heat exchanger's operation. In this present dissertation report, Matlab system modelling, simulation is used to give the better understanding of the Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger behaviourDifferent control algoritm were applied on heat exchanger model(Matlab) for different control parameter tunning. Followed by Developing suitable Heat Exchanger test set-up ,with NI-Lab view DAS.Results are shown after performing experiments on shell and tube heat exchanger and model validations is shown after matlab and labview results comparision. After performing different experiments on shell and tube heat exchanger we have identified DAS I/O requirements and specs and designed embedded DAS board and fabricate the embedded system hardware . By following these steps we come up with embedded software and hardware for DAS and can perform analysis with the real Heat Exchanger set-up and demonstrate/validate. |
