The Induction machine is without doubt the workhorse of the electrical power industry. Computerized modelling and simulation of Induction machine has certainly widened the scope for its performance analysis. A good mathematical model can help in studying the behaviour of the induction machine under different operating conditions and selecting the appropriate machine for a specific application. In this paper, the steady state and dynamic equations of induction machine are utilized for modelling. The model can be used for steady state as well as transient analysis for any induction machine. The model is used to study the dynamic performance of the machine during a three-phase fault at the machine terminals. Dynamic characteristics are obtained for two different sizes of machine. Different operating conditions are simulated using MatLab code.en
