Abstract: The paper presents a new and simple mathematical model to represent the family of magnetization curves of SRM. The proposed method is compared with existing analytical and piecewise linear models. Results of the proposed new model curves are compared with experimental magnetization curves of 4-phase and 3- phase SRMs.
