Abstract: The Induction machine is becoming the workhorse of the electrical power industry. Computerized modelling and simulation of Induction machine has certainly provided new directions for the performance analysis. A good mathematical model can help in studying the behaviour of the induction machine under different conditions and selecting the appropriate machine for a specific application. In this paper, the steady state and dynamic equations of induction machine are utilized for modelling. The model can be used for steady state as well as transient analysis for squirrel cage or wound rotor structure. The model is used to study the effects of the machine size and parameter values on its dynamic performance. Different operating conditions are simulated using MatLab code. Also, the behaviour of the induction machine is observed with and without supply harmonics.
