Abstract: In this paper we have discussed three of the major recently developed technologies in the field of biomedical instrumentation. These technologies aim to provide better medical facilities to patients aiding them in a wide range of ailments. The three technologies covered in this paper are: (i) Tongue Interface Devices (ii) Artificial Body Organs (iii) Real Time Body Monitoring Systems. The first technology is used for the handicapped people to control the devices like wheel chair, computer through the tongue. Second technology provides alternative solution for transplants by means of artificial organs which prevents the need of donor organs. Third technology is used for real time monitoring of different parameters like heart rate, respiration rate which helpful in earlier diagnosis of the disease.
