dc.description.abstract | Psychological capital, Organizational citizenship behavior and Intention to stay are the positive constructs that have an overall positive impact on organizations on their employee's well being. Positive psychology is a construct that includes hope, optimism, resilience, and self efficacy. Quality of Work-life is related to the working conditions and environment that lead to an increase in job satisfaction and intention to stay with the organization. The study aims at A Moderated-Mediation Effect of Quality of Work-life On the Impact of Psychological Capital on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Intention to Stay on the direct relationship. Quality of work-life is a major concern for the banking employees. They have to compromise on a lot of things like personal well-being; working conditions; which may affect their work-life and health. Psycap is known as a personal construct which helps in discounting the negative events and moving ahead with a positive attitude. The present study used a cross-section design using structured questionnaire measuring Psychological Capital, Quality of Work-life, Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Intention to Stay, of officers and managerial cadre employees of selected banks. This was a self-report questionnaire which was distributed among the employees of selected banks in Ahmedabad region with an aim to determine the effect of Psychological Capital on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour and Intention to Stay with the organization. 400 responses were received from banking employees of which 358 responses were used for further analysis. The relationship was measured using the standardized statistical tools like Pearson Correlation, Descriptive Statistics, Pie-chart and Graph for profiling and SPSS 20. Major tool used for modelling is AMOS 24 for measurement model and path-analysis for Confirmatory factor analysis and SEM. Process Macro tool by Andrew Hayes was also used for checking moderated- mediation effect of Quality of Work-life on PsyCap, Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Intention to Stay relation. The significant results show that psychological capital impacts organizational citizenship behavior and intention to stay. Mediation of OCB between PsyCap and Intention to Stay also turned out to be significant. Although Overall Moderation was not significant, but it had an impact on the relationship. The present findings will help HR managers and policy makers to deal with the employees in a strategic way as well as in uplifting them at personal level. The study can serve as a guide for managers to take steps to retain their work-force by bringing down the turnover ratio. | en_US |
