This research explores the emerging trends in oral contraceptives. Oral contraceptives are a method of contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancy and they are claimed to be the most efficient way if compared to other methods of contraception, which are physical contraceptives like condoms, diaphragms, Intrauterine devices or injections. There seems to be growth seen in the use of oral contraceptives in the Indian market, therefore this research survey aims to collect, interpret and analyse data based on perspectives of different demographics of the Indian society. This survey also aims to understand the marketing of oral contraceptives by collecting the viewpoints of different doctors, medical representatives and industrialists. Oral contraceptives benefits are not just limited to contraception, but it has many other advantages in the treatment of acne, alopecia, etc. There are mainly two types of oral contraceptive pills, which are hormonal and nonhormonal. Moreover, oral contraception plays a crucial role in family planning in India, as India is the highest populated country in the world, with population of more than 1.4 billion people. Under different government schemes, oral contraceptive pills like Saheli, Mala D, etc. are free for the public. Counselling sessions are also provided by skilled professionals to increase the awareness of oral contraception.en_US
