Abstract: The flange and gasket play a critical role in sealing dangerous fluid or gas leaks in pressure vessels and connecting pipes. Therefore, research based on leakage analysis of bolted flange connections is essential. The material of the gasket and flange will play an important role in the sealing of the connection between the gasket and the flange. Furthermore, the sealing of the connection between the gasket and the flange is affected by bolt prestress and the number of bolts. Therefore, finite element analyses (FEA) are performed for various parameters, such as changing the gasket material as metal and nonmetal, the bolt prestress, and the number of bolts. The FEA analysis is performed considering the standard dimensions and linear situation. The FEA results are obtained for the different parameters. After analysis the linear simulation, the symmetric boundary conditions also considered and analyse the gasket and flange. Also, the simulation is carried out for symmetric loading condition as for taking beam model and analyse the flange and gasket.
