The construction sector is a major contributor to resource consumption, due to which environmental degradation and pollution are rising over the globe. The growth towards environmental conservation can be observed in many fields as well as in the construction sector this thesis is aiming to examine and provide information on the area where wood is used as a reclaimed material which promotes the use of the material and architectural practice with such ideology. Wood as a material being favourable for centuries but the question of consuming the wood and deforestation and mono-culture tree farming led to soil degradation. By reusing wood the construction industries can not only prevent other industrial construction materials but also use reclaimed wood as a carbon bank. To promote the practice of reusing wood, information on non- conventional methods of construction and the process need to be provided with the study, which eventually helps the architects towards the sensitivity of material consumption in design and built form. This research thesis aims to explore the reusability of wood in the construction sector. The first part of the study is carried out from the existing literature of relevant study which provides the scope and limitations and through the case study which focuses to understand the challenges, processes, and solutions from the perspective of architects, dealers, carpenters, and clients. By examining the challenges and opportunities associated with wood reuse, this study aims to promote the reuse of wood for the alternate trend of construction methods. The case study and the literature review critically find the value of reclaimed wood in many factors such as economic, aesthetics, and environmental awareness. In addition, there are mandatory requirements which are needs to be fulfilled while working with reclaimed wood in structural and nonstructural applications in built form, such requirements are highlighted in the study From the study, architects or designers can follow the process, and understand the limitation and potentials of reclaimed wood.
