This thesis examines the impact of openings on natural light and venlaon within contemporary Goan houses, exploring how fenestraon design affects experienal factors across various spaces. Through in-depth case studies of two disnct residences, the research invesgates the relaonship between opening placement, window-to-floor rao, and funconal responses to climac condions. The analysis reveals diverse strategies in ulizing openings to opmize natural light, venlaon, and spaal experience. Cases with different geographical context and cultural beliefs with same number of residents has been analysed to understand the role of openings in both. The findings highlight the significance of context-specific design approaches, considering factors like sun orientaon, wind paerns, and user needs. By understanding the nuanced impact of openings, architects and designers can create sustainable, comfortable, and aesthecally pleasing living spaces that enhance the overall quality of life in Goan homes.en_US
