dc.description.abstractIncidence of Breast Cancer in India is almost 24.5%, of which Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) comprises almost 27% of the cases. TNBC is highly aggressive, due to its heterogeneity, lack of targeted therapy and high risk of metastasis formation at distant sites, it leads to an increase in mortality. To increase the overall survival of patients and for better disease management, it is necessary to diagnose the premetastatic stage so the disease progression can be halted by using preventive therapies. microRNAs are highly stable and play a crucial role in regulating gene expression therefore they are explored as biomarkers for metastasis formation. In this study we aim to identify novel biomarkers- microRNAs which can be utilised to identify bone metastasis in TNBC patients. Our study approaches the problems in two ways- by in-silico studies to identify dysregulated microRNAs from TNBC patient data and later validating its expression in-vitro in TNBC metastatic and non-TNBC cell line.en_US
