Abstract: | Gerotor pumps are used because of their efficiency, portability, and capacity to handle a wide range of viscosities, which a type of positive displacement pump is extensively utilized throughout numerous sectors. An extensive study of the performance traits and design concepts of gerotor pumps is presented in this research. The basic operation of gerotor pumps, which have an inner and outer rotor with different tooth profiles to allow fluid to pass through the pump, is covered in the report. To improve longevity and efficiency of the pump, important design factors such as teeth shape, rotor material choice, and clearance optimization are investigated. The fluid flow and structural stress within the pump are modelled using gerotor pump studio. Which provides insights into the performance under various operating situations. The study implies that for optimal pump performance, exact control over the rotor design and material properties are essential. It is shown in this study that the highest efficiency is 83.9% at 1000 rpm. The report ends with the suggestions for future research avenues, such as the creation of innovative coatings of materials to increase the longevity and effectiveness of gerotor pumps |
