Multi-layered façade systems are gaining popularity as an architectural element for contemporary buildings. In spite of the fact that multi-layered façade systems are acquired for holding the capability to contribute to passive gains enabling optimal building energy performance, there's still a scope of research involving their performance in hot and dry climatic regions. Recognition of the major multi-layered façade system design parameters and issues is the primary objective of this ongoing research. Simulations and data analysis will be extracted from the effective simulation software. Inferences drawn from the simulations could give an insight to better design guidelines covering parameters for the treatment of multi-layered façade systems in hot and dry climatic regions. The analysis assumes multi-layered façade systems as matched for building energy performance optimization in hot and dry climatic regions like Ahmedabad but, distinguish some issues which may require specific consideration in the design of multi-layered façade systemsen_US
