Abstract: The problem addressed in this research is understanding the nature evolving and new technologies into the domain of architectural design and building technology. Here it is tried to address one of the major issue of the evolving nature of the architectural field and building construction field with the new inventions in technological fields. The motivation for working in this area emerged from the curiosity for the evolving nature and a crucial need to develop a new methodological design approach for architects to keep up with the advancing age of computer science and particularly the problem solving techniques and is believed to be a comprehensive tool in direction of achieving that goal. The need for supporting the Architect with bylaws tools as there is less understanding of the laws thus, it is important to have an interface that would provide an easy graphical visualization in the 3D interface. Looking at the current trends Rhino/Grasshopper is the fastest growing interface given the flexibility it provides and the variety of plugins that it supports. The plugin that would be discussed here in the thesis will be referred as “Anarchy”. It will provide with one of the advantage that Rhino/Grasshopper along with its plugins do not provide right now. Anarchy will provide with a variety of 2D and 3D user friendly visual graphics that are interactive to improve the understanding and also to improve the decision making for the bylaws during any stage of design. This will not only help in performing the calculation of bylaws faster and more efficiently and will also give us an easy understanding visual graphics. Combining that with the parametric tools allows for almost instant feedback and thus helping in early design changes. The development will be free and open source so that the user can contribute to its source code improving the plugin.
