Abstract: This research paper contains an understanding morphology of a market. The modern-day city presents itself as an urban living being of one of the highest degree of complexity because it has so many elements, its dynamics and extracts are on a completely different level, which makes the urban study of such cities an equally complex task. The method analyzing it morphologically, it is assumed in this context, is an important tool for understanding the public place, giving an order to what is authentically disordered through a process of classification of the various elements that structure it – squares, streets, buildings, plots, and urban blocks among others. Here, the study is attempting to understand the morphological attitudes of such market-place with a look into its history. Perhaps there are some important points which could help in clarifying our perception of the features of a shopping place. Perhaps the changes and its various expressions are taking us in the right direction as an architect.
