Modularity and unrestricted arrangement can be an alternative to today’s modern housing issues. One needs to build houses that age with time, and houses should be designed for people, not for their possessions. Accepting the need for longer-term reasoning, where it takes into account the ambiguity of prospective occupation and the requirement for housing, is essential. Houses are a bit of an anomaly. We anticipate that they will provide long-term, if not enduring, shelter. This is precisely what we need, and we’ve progressed regarding this entirely inaccurate. We’ve ended up with overfilled dwellings that try to envisage every possible path our lifestyles could take, while what we might want are adaptable dwellings that could acclimate to the lifestyles we’re currently residing in. Housing is perceived as a fundamental requirement, and then as society evolves, the standard house disagreements with new demands that arise from recent concepts. Flexible housing can incorporate profuse functional needs in deficit space; it has a more coherent spatial layout; it helps in the creation of multi-functional spaces, and it offers a private and secure area to serve the needs of residents. However, flexibility is seldom mentioned, provided if one is intending to reconsider how adaptable dwellings are, one really ought to start with the structural systems and the manner they are built. Flexibility with one surface, but lack of movement for all others, still seems to be misunderstood and advertised as flexibility for everything. Houses have conventionally been constructed to fulfill the demands of a household, with the acknowledgment that when those requirements enlarge more than what is supplied, the residence can be expanded or renovated. This thesis intends to inquire the idea of flexibility in housing and how flexibility can be used as an element which permits the occupants to individualize, allowing them to build their own environment, which would provide them with the potential to encounter spatial modifications.en_US
