Nirma Grid Portal

Abstract

Now a day, there are many applications which require highly computational power. Grid technology is one solution where software and hardware infrastruc- ture providing remote access of IT resources and aggregating them for to get high computing power. Grid computing is quickly gaining popularity due to its ability to maximize the efficiency of computing sources as well as its ability to solve large problems with considerably less computing power. Grid provides various services like job management, data storage, resource information, file transfer. Grid user have faced problem to access such grid services easily. So grid portal provide interface to grid system. Grid Portal design is acquired to hide the complex grid details and provides users a transparent way to communicate with the Grid infrastructures and to provide non-expert users with an efficient and transparent way to access the Grid resources and utilize Grid services only using a conventional web browser. In grid portal group management, resources information, job management, data management, notification services are implementing with easy and intuitive GUI for no-vice grid users. The various phases of the project carried out are configuration of Grid, literature survey, architecture and design of grid portal and implementation of services on nirma grid portal.
