Ad hoc network is a network in which a group of mobile nodes that wish to com- municate may self organize without any infrastructure. This decentralized manner in ad hoc network that requires efficient routing with security. Ant Colony Optimiza- tion (ACO) is a branch of Swarm Intelligence where collective behaviors of agents interacting locally with their environment cause coherent functional global patterns to emerge. Antnet is a type of ACO algorithm used for Networks. It takes exploration and exploitation of paths during routing which provides efficient routing. For Secure routing in ad hoc network, HMAC method is used in which MAC value is used for identifying malicious node during routing in ad hoc network. This report contains Introduction of Ad hoc network and ACO, literature survey on secure routing in ad hoc network, details of Antnet algorithm and HMAC method for security. Finally there is an implementation of Antnet algorithm for ad hoc network which gives efficient routing and identifying malicious node between source and destination during routing in ad hoc network and results of this implementation have been generated with the help of NS2 simulator.en
