Lindane had been observed to have detrimental on different body organs in rats. In the present study, 90 swiss albino male rats were orally feeded lindane at a dosage of 250 mg/kg body weight for a period of 30 days, followed by plant extract treatment at a dosage of 2 mL/day. After every 10 days 10 rats were dissected and parameters like semenology, tissue biochemistry, serum biochemistry and histopathological studies were analyzed. Following the lindane treatment, cancerous condition induced in liver, nephropathy and complete damage to the testis were observed. After the treatment with lindane, rats became oligo-neo-zoospermic. Oxidative stress was also observed to increase in each liver, kidney and testis. Following the plant extract treatment, complete reversal in reproductive toxicity was observed. The damage in the kidney was also reduced. The cancerous condition in the liver was observed to decline. The oxidative stress was also observed to reduce. The fertility of the rats was also restored. Thus treatment with the plant extract overall recovery in the lindane treated was observed.en
