Modern science and technology are collaborating with each other to achieve the goals, performance and greater impact all over the globe. These collaborations are multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary and geographically distributed environments. A computational Grid is a hardware and software infrastructure that provides dependable, consistent, pervasive and inexpensive access to high end computational capabilities. The motive of this project is to elaborate the effectiveness of Grid computing by Agent based job management. The various phases of the project carried out are Installation of Grid through Globus Toolkit, Generation of Super Computing power by connecting the number of nodes to the grid, Agent implementation on local network and finally agent based job management through grid services. The various tasks of computational Grid which needs interaction among jobs can be implemented through Agents. This agent based interactive job management facilitates Job Submission, Job Status, Job Monitoring, Job Cancellation, Job Destroy (Premature Cancellation) etc. Out of these tasks, Job Submission and Job Monitoring are two primary goals of this project.en
